![]() Yeah that's why I stated either a reboot (by PB not some 3rd party whose remake I m not interested in at all) or more so rather a new spinoff Gothic game in the same universe. I'd give PB another try if they came up with another RPG in classic fantasy setting like Gothic / Risen, not a philosophical steampunk sci-fi thing like Elex. The remake goes along with the attempts to grab folks like me by their nostalgic feelings towards certain games and grab their money by delivering lukewarm "remakes" without having to come up with new stuff. It might be due to the world having moved on in the 20 years since the original came out or due to my nostalgia, but I don't really want a new Gothic. There's already an official Gothic 1 "Remake" being produced by a Spanish sub-studio of THQ Nordic, which didn't look half bad, but had a TOTALLY different feeling than the original Gothic. ![]() ![]() I pushed myself through Elex1, but don't know If I'll be able to finish II. I'm having a really hard time swallowing ELEX, I think its world and lore are half baked and find tis magictechnoapocalypse premise full nonsense, can't immerse myself in it 1 bit. Originally posted by Bobisz:Now that they own Gothic again, I'd rather them either make a new numbered Gothic, or reboot/reinvigorate the IP with a new spinoff series in the same universe, with a large talent influx and the financial backing of THQ.īecause as much as I love PB, this won't cut it in the next installment, whatever that might be. ![]()
